Competitions & Judging Criteria

Update (26/2/2012) : The eco  movie competition has been cancelled due to lack of slots for the said competition. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.


Theme: YOUTHS- Pioneers of Green Transformation 


1. Multimedia Presentation Competition (COMPULSORY)

  •  The presentation session will be divided into 2 main sessions
  •  All schools will be required to prepare a 8 minute multimedia presentation regarding the efforts taken by their respective schools in working towards a cleaner and greener environment
  • The presentation should be creative and interesting, include brief introduction on school during presentation
  • The speaker must present in English and relate the efforts taken to the theme of the summit
  • A 2 minute Q & A session by the members of the floor will be held
  • The multimedia presentation must be saved in a CD, with the name of school written and submitted to the SAEYLS Committee during registration                                                                                                                      
    2. Poster Designing Competition (COMPULSORY)


    • All schools are required to prepare a poster, highlighting the green efforts taken by their respective schools
    •  The poster should be in portrait form, measuring 50 cm x 80 cm




    • The poster must be self-explanatory and creative, include more pictures than words
    •  A student representative must be prepared to give a 2-5 minute explanation to the judges regarding the green projects highlighted, based on the poster designed and must relate the explanation given to the theme of the summit
    • Brochures and pamphlets are allowed to be given out
    • Judges will conduct Q&A session
    • Only a board to put up the posters will be provided. No extra tables/ projector/ space will be provided for the exhibition session
    • The poster must be handed in to the SAEYLS committee during registration; the committee will take charge of putting up the posters for all schools
    • The poster must be a computer graphic poster and not hand made.
